If you're here, it's probably because you like giant dogs, and you like nice things. Preferably both. We do too, and we were beyond frustrated that there were no sites that had quality giant breed items all centrally located in one place. We all had pages of bookmarks of sites that were filled with nice dog items, but only had one or two that would fit us.
A little bit of clarification here. There are a LOT of places on the web that say they cater to big dogs, or large breed dogs. Problem is, their stuff only goes up to 65-80 pounds, and us GIANT breed dogs are usually between 150 and 220 pounds. Not the same thing. The dogs they're saying are "big dogs" play slalom with my legs at the dog park OK? As most big beautiful women do when confronted with a society that doesn't fit them, I decided to start my own company.
First things first we are about QUALITY. NOTHING is carried in our store if Nee, Odie, or myself haven't tried it out first. Trust me we've been referred to a lot of "High Quality" vendors, and when the samples we ordered showed up, the components felt cheap, stitches are falling out, engraving isn't deep enough, or they don't stand up to giant dog use. That's just not acceptable. Period.
We take pride in doing all the legwork to find top shelf merchandise so you don't have to. How much does it stink to have to put out $40+ for a collar only to find out it was money wasted? That doesn't happen here. We make sure of it. We've traveled across the country, and looked around the world to find the best possible giant dog friendly, non uglified items there are to offer, and to bring them to one place, just to make your life easier.
We also LOVE eco and earth friendly products, we're all about natural here, and the closer it is to nature the more we like it. Our treats are chemical free, our grooming supplies are all natural and the leather collars we offer all use an eco friendly tanning process. We know how sensitive a lot of dogs are to chemicals and preservatives and are doing everything in our power to keep those out of our shop!
When we can, we get our products from independent businesses, not only because we love to support the little guy, but because we've found that these artisans and craftsmen take great pride in their work, and it shows, giving you the best possible bang for your buck. We're always on the look out for great companies, so if you know of one that you think we should check out, drop us a note.
Rescue is very very close to all our hearts. Nee and Odie both have rescued brothers at home, and we all have good friends that were rescue dogs. Not only do we often do fundraising for rescue events, and offer discounts for rescue programs, but every month we feature a special dog in need and donate a new collar from our inventory, plus we offer a trade in program, where you can turn in your clean GENTLY used collars, leashes, blankets, beds and bowls for a discount here at Karma Charms, and we send them to the other dogs in that rescue.
