At Karma Charms we are passionate about rescue. (So, but for the grace of Dog go I...) We have special programs put in place for Rescue Organizations here, not only for discounts and donations, but for fund raising opportunities as well. These different programs can be broken up into four different parts.
Discounts:
Any non profit, large/giant breed rescue affiliation can register with Karma Charms for discounts on all our products. Your discount will be activated as soon as your rescue is approved. By registering you are not only eligible for discounts, and linked in our "Approved Rescues" list, but you are also automatically enrolled for consideration for our Second Chances Program. To have your account assigned to Rescue Group status, you will need to register for an account with us, and then use our contact form to submit the following information:
1. The name of the rescue group you are affiliated with
2. The website URL of the rescue group, if applicable
3. The name and telephone number for the regional/national coordinator, who can verify your affiliation
4. Whether or not your group has 501(c)(3) status
Once verified and approved, we will change your account over to Rescue Group pricing and you will be notified by email of that change.
Second Chances Program:
Every month we choose a special needs dog from a large/giant breed rescue. That dog is our featured Second Chance dog, and will be outfitted with a brand new collar and leash from our inventory, as well as a Gift Certificate for a new ID tag for when they are placed with their forever home. The Second Chance dog will have their picture and story placed on our blog, and will be featured on the front page of the Karma Charms site. We also solicit donations of gently used dog supplies, such as collars, leashes, bowls and bedding, and new big dog toys, in exchange for coupons for KC merchandise, and all donations collected during that month will be donated to the featured rescue. Plus, of the sales of the featured collar (the one donated to the Second Chance Dog) of that month, 15% of the proceeds will be monetarily donated to the rescue in question.
Referral Program:
Our referral program gives Karma Charms clients an opportunity to get credits to the Karma Charms store, by telling others about us. While standard Karma Charms clients get 10% of the amount spent by the new client, rescues get 15% of the total amount. These credits can be used towards items needed by the rescue, or saved and used to purchase Karma Charms items or gift certificates and raffled off as a fundraiser. Rescues are provided with a printable PDF file with their unique referral code to hand out to adopters, so that any purchases made at Karma Charms benefit the rescue.
Donation Requests:
We frequently receive requests for donations for charity events. While we would like to help out wherever and whenever we can, we simply cannot fill EVERY request. When evaluating donation requests, large and giant breed charity events are given preference. To be considered for a donation, please use the Contact Us form, and let us know who is sponsoring the event, the dates of the event, and what you would like us to donate. We do ask for a link back to our site on any advertising materials pertaining to the event.
